#36: Midnight in the sun

The number of Buick paintings grows alongside my obsession with classic cars. 'Midnight' is a breathtaking '65 Skylark Gran Sport Convertible that has been around for five decades yet looks better than most cars half her age. She was parked on a quiet street soaking up the afternoon sun as it dropped subtle shadows on and around her. Everything about her was so perfect that I had to make an exception to my style and paint in as many details as permissible on a 6x6 inch surface.

Lucky's Cafe in Worcester, MA will be exhibiting my art from Thursday, September 6th through the end of October. If you are in the area, stop by to see 'Midnight in the sun' and other available pieces in person.
